How to Give Yourself an Oil Massage
Oil messages not only relax and rejuvenate you, but also help release toxins in your body and leave the skin looking beautiful.
Things You'll Need:
Sesame, sweet almond or coconut oil
Small plastic bottle for the oil
Cup of hot water
1
Put the oil in the plastic bottle and place the bottle in the hot water for a few minutes.
2
Stand on a towel or bath mat and put a small amount of oil into your palm. Start by massaging the oil into your solar plexus in a clockwise direction.
3
Apply the oil to the chest in a circular motion. Continue to apply the oil to your body until your whole body is covered. Then massage the oil into your skin with long up and down strokes at the extremities.
4
If you have time, cover yourself with a robe or large towel and relax for 5 minutes. Practice some deep abdominal breathing during this time.
5
Take a warm shower or bath with a gentle, non-drying soap. Try to use the soap only where necessary, leaving a light layer of oil on the skin.
Tips & Warnings
Give yourself an oil massage each morning before you shower.
Wipe any oil off the bottom of your feet before entering the shower.
